Job Summary:
Valmark Financial Group is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive intern to support both Business Development and Communications initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience across data management, marketing operations, digital communications, and internal business processes.
The intern will play a key role in maintaining data accuracy, supporting marketing and communication efforts, assisting with reporting and analytics, and contributing to cross-functional projects. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage accurate data within Valmark’s CRM, including updating, auditing, and organizing lead and contact records
- Support reporting and analytics by compiling data, tracking performance metrics, and identifying trends using Excel and HubSpot
- Assist with marketing and communications initiatives, including email campaigns, content updates, and document management within Valmark Connect
- Help coordinate and execute communications efforts, including digital outreach, social media support, and physical mailings
- Conduct research and support cross-functional projects, including website audits, campaign support, and internal initiatives
- Collaborate with Business Development, Communications, IT, and leadership teams to ensure projects and deliverables stay on track

Requirements:
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Currently enrolled pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Business Management, Business Operations or a related field
- Availability to work onsite in Akron, OH:
- 16–24 hours per week during spring and fall semesters
- 30–40 hours per week during summer months
Pay: $20 per hour
