Marketing Specialist (3 month contract)

Position Overview

  • REMOTE, BUT MUST BE TWO HOURS FROM RICHMOND VIRGINA*

We are seeking a Marketing Specialist for an initial 3-month contract engagement to support day-to-day marketing operations, website content management, and digital marketing initiatives. This individual will play a key role in maintaining web content, supporting audience and target list requests, assisting with content creation, and helping execute marketing initiatives across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update website content using platforms such as WordPress, Marketing Cloud, or similar content management systems.
  • Publish, update, and manage digital content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with branding standards.
  • Support target list pulls, audience segmentation, data processing, and related marketing operations activities.
  • Assist with content creation, editing, and formatting for marketing campaigns, communications, and other business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to fulfill marketing requests and support ongoing projects.
  • Perform basic reporting and data validation activities as needed.
  • Help organize and manage marketing materials and content libraries.
  • Support ad hoc marketing initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, marketing operations, or a related field.
  • Experience using WordPress, Marketing Cloud, or similar web content management platforms.
  • Experience supporting data-driven marketing activities, including list pulls, audience segmentation, or marketing operations tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Highspot.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Experience supporting B2B marketing organizations.

Must-Haves

  • Website content management experience (WordPress, Marketing Cloud, or similar CMS)
  • Marketing operations and data/list management experience
  • Content creation and marketing support experience
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and stakeholder requests
