The Marketing Specialist assists with all facets of marketing activities including research, development and execution of communications, marketing, advertising, promotions, and campaigns across multiple channels.

Requirements:

  • Embraces the Purpose, Values and Crews Basics established for the organization.
  • Serves as administrator for the Marketing project management system by inputting tasks/requests, creating and assigning subtasks, and facilitating project handoffs to ensure timely execution of objectives
  • Prepares and distributes news releases by identifying newsworthy opportunities and maintaining relationships with media representatives.
  • Assists with email and direct mail campaigns, including writing copy, researching and procuring data, processing mail merge and coordinating mailings.
  • Assists with creating and maintaining content for blogs, websites and social media platforms.
  • Monitors social media comments and online reviews across relevant platforms and responds or escalates follow-up actions accordance with established guidelines and reputation management standards.
  • Creates and schedules messages on electronic and manual reader boards.
  • Assists in planning, coordinating, and executing special events such as branch openings, anniversary celebrations, corporate sponsorships, community events, and promotional campaigns.
  • Designs digital and print collateral for internal and external marketing efforts, including ads, posters, flyers, banners, and social media.
  • Edits, alters and makes enhancements to photographs.
  • Works with internal compliance team, ensuring that marketing materials are compliant with banking regulations and that they meet established standards. Assists with audit and examination preparation related to marketing activities.
  • Conducts research and gathers information related to competitive analyses, demographics, product and service usages and customer satisfaction.
  • Proofreads marketing materials prior to distribution to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Assists with maintaining budgets, schedules and tracking for campaigns and promotional materials.
  • Ensures brand standards and quality expectations are met, maintaining a positive organizational image within the community.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all products and services offered and stays current on issues affecting customers.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as graphic design tools such as Canva
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Good understanding of financial institution products and services

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or business related field
  • Two years' experience in marketing, advertising, communications or public relations, preferred.
