Marketing Specialist

A growing technology company is seeking a full time Marketing Specialist to join its Williamsburg office. This role focuses on understanding customer behavior and developing marketing initiatives that increase engagement, activation, retention, and overall usage of the company's platform.

This is not a sales position. The Marketing Specialist will manage automated customer communications, analyze customer activity, test new marketing ideas, and research tools and industry trends. This person will work closely with customer support, technology, and management to identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and drive greater platform usage.

The ideal candidate is technically minded, analytical, creative, detail oriented, and proactive. Experience with Customer.io, SQL, or FinTech is a plus, but a strong ability and willingness to learn is important.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Customer.io campaigns and automated customer communications

• Analyze customer behavior, engagement, and platform usage

• Identify opportunities to improve customer activation and retention

• Develop and test new marketing campaigns and ideas

• Track campaign results and use data to improve performance

• Research marketing tools, competitors, and industry trends

• Work closely with customer support, technology, and management teams

• Communicate with employers and HR teams when needed

• Identify ways to improve the overall customer experience and platform engagement

• Take ownership of marketing projects from idea through execution

Qualifications:

• Prior marketing experience preferred

• Technically minded and comfortable working with online platforms and technology

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Creative, proactive, and detail oriented

• Comfortable analyzing customer behavior and campaign performance

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to learn new technology and marketing tools quickly

• Customer.io experience is a plus

• SQL experience is a plus

• FinTech experience is a plus

• Must be comfortable working full time in office

Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY

Type: Full time, In Office

Salary: $75,000 to $100,000/year
