The Marketing Strategist supports the development of integrated marketing strategy by translating business priorities into clear campaign plans, messaging frameworks, and actionable insights. This position serves as a strategic marketing partner to assigned internal business areas, helping connect stakeholder needs, audience insights, campaign planning, and cross-channel execution.

By partnering closely with internal leaders and teams, this role helps ensure marketing work is aligned, differentiated, and connected to broader business goals. The Marketing Strategist brings structure, clarity, and strategic direction to key initiatives while helping execution teams understand the audience, message, priorities, and desired outcomes.

Campaign Strategy & Planning

  • Develops integrated marketing campaigns aligned to company priorities

  • Serves as the strategic marketing partner for assigned internal business areas, stakeholders, or initiatives

  • Builds comprehensive campaign briefs, including:

  • Target audience definition

  • Messaging pillars

  • Channel recommendations

  • Translates high-level strategy into clear, actionable plans for execution teams

  • Develops audience strategies and segmentation approaches that ensure campaigns are relevant, targeted, and aligned to business goals

  • Helps define campaign objectives, success measures, audience needs, key messages, and strategic considerations before work moves into execution

Messaging & Content Alignment

  • Develops and maintains messaging frameworks to ensure consistency across campaigns and channels
  • Partners with Creative, Events, and Analytics teams to align messaging across all touchpoints
  • Guides the evolution of campaign narratives based on audience insights and business priorities

Research & Insight Integration

  • Partners with the Research team to leverage competitive intelligence and market insights
  • Translates research findings into clear implications and actionable recommendations
  • Applies insights to inform campaign strategy, messaging, and positioning
  • Identifies opportunities for differentiation based on competitor and market dynamics

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serves as a front-facing marketing partner to assigned internal stakeholders, business units, or initiative owners
  • Partners with internal teams, including Creative, Events, Technology/Analytics, and Research, to ensure alignment and clarity across initiatives
  • Engages closely with assigned areas of the business to understand priorities, upcoming needs, opportunities, and risks
  • Supports coordination of campaign timelines, deliverables, and dependencies
  • Ensures strategic direction is clearly communicated and understood by execution partners

Performance & Insight Development

  • Analyzes campaign performance and key metrics in partnership with analytics teams
  • Synthesizes insights and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Connects campaign performance and market insights to inform future strategy and improve results

Other

  • Provides guidance on cross-functional projects where strategic expertise is needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree. Four (4) years of relevant education in marketing, communications, business, or related field and work experience may be substituted for degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years of specialized experience in marketing, strategy, research, or a related discipline
  • Experience planning and executing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, content, event, and communication channels
  • Ability to analyze marketing performance metrics and translate data into actionable strategy
  • Skills in audience segmentation, market research, and translating insights into strategic recommendations
  • Ability to act as strategic problem-solver adept at turning complex ideas into structured plans
  • Proven ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships as a proactive marketing partner
  • Familiarity with project management, CRM, marketing automation, or analytics platforms
  • Polished and professional demeanor

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience partnering with executive leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Experience supporting multiple stakeholder groups with competing priorities
  • Experience in franchise, real estate, field-based, B2B, or multi-stakeholder organizations

Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
