Marlin Bar Culinary Lead

Job Summary

The Marlin Bar Culinary Lead is responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations, preparing high-quality food, mentoring kitchen team members, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment. The role leads by example to ensure an exceptional dining experience while promoting teamwork, cleanliness, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve high-quality food in a scratch kitchen environment.
• Support daily kitchen operations and ensure efficient workflow.
• Mentor, train, and support kitchen team members.
• Welcome and assist in onboarding new employees.
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work culture.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
• Assist with additional kitchen duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a scratch kitchen.
• Leadership and mentoring skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules based on business needs.
