Position overview

SkyBridge Tactical is seeking an experienced Martial Arts and Physical Training Instructor to deliver progressive instruction in a professional government training environment. The instructor will develop participant skills, support instructor development and refresher training, and maintain a safe, structured learning environment. This position is contingent upon contract award and required customer approvals.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver martial arts and physical training instruction for participants with varying levels of experience.

Coach standing, transition, and ground-based skills using approved curriculum and established safety standards.

Demonstrate techniques, observe participant performance, and provide clear feedback to improve proficiency.

Develop quarterly training progression plans that build from fundamental skills to advanced instruction and submit them for approval.

Coordinate with designated program representatives to maintain curriculum alignment and incorporate approved updates.

Provide refresher training, instructor development, and continuing skill development.

Enforce safe training practices, stop unsafe activities, and promptly report hazards or incidents through established procedures.

Maintain professional conduct and protect confidential customer and company information.

Required qualifications

Minimum of five years of documented experience teaching fighting and mindset physical training to Special Operations Forces personnel.

Minimum of five years of professional or college-level fighting experience in at least four of these six disciplines: Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing, Judo, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai. Experience must include all three phases: standup, transition, and groundwork.

Minimum of ten years of experience teaching or coaching these disciplines at varying experience levels, including beginner, amateur, and professional.

Minimum of five years of experience planning, managing, and executing multiple fighting and mindset physical training programs.

U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance at the start of performance.

Ability to demonstrate and coach the required skills and obtain the government installation access needed to perform the work.

Schedule and travel

This is a part-time, onsite position with regular weekday morning work, typically 15 hours per week. Candidates must also be available for scheduled full workweeks and periodic domestic travel for program support and professional development. The final schedule will follow approved customer requirements.
