Mash Prep Operator

Location: Pine Lake Facility – Steamboat Rock, IA

Overview

Pine Lake Corn Processors (PLCP) is seeking a dedicated Mash Prep Operator to join our growing operation in Central Iowa’s ag processing industry. If you are safety-minded, mechanically inclined, and take pride in maintaining high operational standards, we encourage you to apply.

Primary Objective

The Mash Prep Operator is responsible for the safe operation, cleaning, and maintenance of process equipment, as well as the collection and analysis of production samples to support efficient and high-quality plant operations.

Major Accountabilities

·         Safely operate, monitor, clean, and maintain process equipment.

·         Collect and analyze production and process samples to verify quality standards.

·         Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and warehouse environment.

·         Assist with general equipment operation, facility upkeep, and routine maintenance.

·         Participate in required safety training and ongoing job-related development.

·         Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and conduct standards.

·         Represent PLCP professionally within the workplace and community.

·         Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

·         Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance and punctuality.

Work Schedule

This position follows a 2-2-3 rotating schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts. Shifts rotate every 28 days between Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) and Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). Overtime is welcome and encouraged.

·         Week 1: Sunday–Wednesday–Thursday (36 hrs.)

·         Week 2: Monday–Tuesday–Friday–Saturday (48 hrs.)

·         Week 3: Sunday–Wednesday–Thursday (36 hrs.)

·         Week 4: Monday–Tuesday–Friday–Saturday (48 hrs.)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

·         Demonstrates strong initiative, effort, and commitment to completing work efficiently and accurately.

·         Effective verbal and written communication skills.

·         Ability to stay organized, adapt to change, and manage multiple tasks.

·         Basic math skills for routine operational requirements.

·         Able to work safely in elevated or challenging environments (e.g., catwalks, confined spaces).

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

·         Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry a minimum of 50 lbs.

·         Ability to bend, stretch, twist, reach, and perform repetitive motions.

·         Requires core strength and stability to perform physical tasks over time.

·         Possible exposure to agricultural environments, outdoor conditions, and ag products.

·         Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
