Job Description
The role of the Masker involves meticulously masking aerospace and defense metal parts using tape, plugs, and other materials to protect them from coating. The job requires working with small hand tools and handlingparts ranging from the size of a quarter to that of a shipping container. While the work is primarily independent, collaboration with other maskers is required for larger parts. The position offers the flexibility to sit while working on smaller parts and may involve assisting with the racking of parts as needed.
Responsibilities
Mask aerospace and defense metal parts using tape, plugs, and other materials.
Utilize small hand tools for precise work.
Work independently on smaller parts, occasionally collaborate with others for larger tasks.
Assist with racking of parts as required.
Essential Skills
6+ months of manufacturing experience.
6+ months of experience working with small tools/objects.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.
Effective communication skills to interact with employees, customers, and vendors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with masking, taping, and small part assembly.
Familiarity with paint preparation and industrial environments.
Ability to bend and access parts from various shelving units.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, well-lit, and climate-controlled environment. Regular interaction with visitors requires effective communication. Vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The position is on the 1st Shift, Monday - Thursday, from 6am-4:30pm, with occasional overtime on Fridays. Employees enjoy two 10-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
