Masonry Operative

Gallagher Aggregates are seeking for a Masonry Operative to join our team.

As a Masonry Operative you will report to the Masonry Production Manager and assist in the smooth running of the Masonry department and in the production of high-quality bespoke stone masonry products.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Undertake Quality control (all walling stone, paving's, tiles) at all times.
• Strict adherence to all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and reporting of any incident/accident of any nature to the production supervisor/manager.
• Day-to-day duties making walling stone as required using a hydraulic press machine and hand dressing with tools.
• Ensure correct PPE is being worn at all times.
• Ensure good housekeeping is adhered to throughout the masonry dept (daily wash downs/clean up's, concrete slab cleaned/scraped down, saws clear from debris and cleaned).
• Maintain machinery and report to Manager any machinery maintenance issues.
• Report to Manager any production issues to ensure production is continuous.
• Ensure workshop paperwork is completed (saw sheets dated and initialled for when they are completed, pallet tickets, delivery notes).
• You may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as we may reasonably require.

Candidates must:

• Believe in and uphold our company values.
• Construction experience and stonemasonry experience would be advantageous.
• Full Training provided.
• Work requires individual to be physically fit as it is a manual job.
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
