Must-haves:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
2+ years of relevant experience.
Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams.
Preferred:
Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
Experience with advanced mass properties analysis software and tools.
Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to, parametric design, model-based definition, fundamentals of flight mechanics.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense and/or US Military.
Perform detailed mass properties calculations and analyses for aerospace components and systems.
Develop and maintain mass properties models and databases.
Conduct and oversee mass properties testing and validation.
Inventory and weigh aircraft.
Generate aircraft weight and balance paperwork.
Collaborate with design and analysis teams to incorporate mass properties data into project workflows.
