Summary
As a Massage Therapist at Mountain Lake Spa, you will provide exceptional therapeutic services to our guests in a serene and beautiful environment. Your role is vital in enhancing the overall wellness experience for visitors while contributing to the lodge's reputation as a premier destination for relaxation and rejuvenation.
The Spa at Mountain Lake is seeking a licensed massage therapist to join our team of professionals. This position is part time or full time, The position requires morning, afternoon and weekend availability. This is a contract position, earning commission plus gratuities off all services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and preferences.
- Create a warm, welcoming, and relaxing environment for every guest.
- Administer various massage techniques including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and relaxation methods.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all guests.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and aftercare techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area in accordance with health standards.
- Collaborate with other wellness staff to create comprehensive treatment plans.
- Provide various modalities of massage treatments.
- Ensure client comfort in a luxury spa setting.
- Arrive to work thirty minutes prior to scheduled treatment.
- Complete all assigned cleaning procedures.
- Ensure that all work areas are clean and disinfected.
- Collaborate with spa staff, front desk, and management to support smooth daily operations.
- Recommend wellness products, self‐care tools, and enhancements that support guest needs.
- Maintain familiarity with all spa retail offerings and treatment add‐ons.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Experience in pain management techniques and trigger point therapy is preferred.
- Ability to assess patient needs effectively and provide tailored treatments.
- Completion of training program in massage therapy.
- State licensure through the Department of Nursing.
- Ability to complete several treatments per shift.
