Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in a variety of massage styles, possess a deep knowledge of human anatomy, provide exceptional massage therapy services tailored to meet the individual needs of our clients, and work well as part of a holistic wellness team. The therapist will be responsible for creating a peaceful and relaxing environment, delivering high-quality therapeutic massages, and ensuring client satisfaction through professional care.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform a variety of massage techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and hot stone massage based on client needs.
  • Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their massage goals, health concerns, and preferences.
  • Create customized treatment plans to address specific issues and promote overall well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment history and any medical conditions or allergies.
  • Assist with scheduling, confirming, and managing appointments.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for clients.
  • Educate clients about the benefits of massage therapy and how it can improve their health.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ethical standards.
  • Maintain proper sanitation and hygiene of all massage equipment and tools.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and best practices.
  • Assist with collecting payments for services rendered and promoting packages for repeat business.
  • Promote additional services and products available within the practice, when appropriate.

Qualifications:


  • Current, valid state licensure and certification in massage therapy.
  • Proven experience as a Massage Therapist (minimum 3 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and massage techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to tailor services to meet the specific needs of each client.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Physical stamina to perform massage treatments for extended periods.
Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
  • Comfortable working in a therapeutic environment with a focus on the physical well-being of clients.
Preferred Qualifications:


  • Additional certifications in specialized techniques such as aromatherapy, prenatal massage, or reflexology.
  • Experience working in a spa or wellness center environment.
  • Knowledge of various massage tools and equipment (e.g., hot stones, aromatherapy oil diffusers).
