Massage Therapist LMT

Peak Performance Physical Therapy is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team. This role is designed for someone who is passionate about helping patients and clients improve mobility, reduce pain, manage stress, and support overall wellness through high-quality therapeutic massage services.

The Licensed Massage Therapist will work closely with our clinical and wellness teams to provide individualized massage treatments that complement the client’s care goals and support Peak’s mission of improving the human connection through exceptional service and care.

Position Summary

The Licensed Massage Therapist is responsible for providing professional, safe, and effective massage therapy services to clients in a clinical wellness setting. This position focuses on delivering an excellent client experience, supporting retention and rebooking, and collaborating with team members to promote continued care and wellness services.

About the role

• Provide professional therapeutic massage services based on client needs, goals, and preferences.
• Perform brief client consultations to understand areas of concern, contraindications, comfort level, and treatment goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming, and professional treatment space.
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding session expectations, pressure preferences, aftercare, and recommended follow-up.
• Support client retention by educating clients on the benefits of ongoing massage therapy.
• Document services, client preferences, and relevant notes according to company standards.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and ensure client comfort and safety at all times.
• Collaborate with Peak Performance PT team members when appropriate to support the client’s overall wellness plan.
• Assist in promoting massage services, wellness offerings, memberships, and packages.
• Follow all state licensing requirements, HIPAA expectations, sanitation standards, and company policies.
• Manage time effectively to stay on schedule and provide a consistent client experience.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Massage Therapist credential in the state of Michigan.
• Completion of an accredited massage therapy program.
• Knowledge of anatomy, soft tissue techniques, contraindications, and client safety standards.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, reliable, and team-oriented.
• Ability to build rapport with clients and create a positive, comfortable experience.
