Job Title: Master Control Switcher - WFOX TV

Position Overview

WFOX Jacksonville TV is accepting applications for a Full-Time Master Control Switcher.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Quality Control of all content being processed through Master Control systems
  • Managing On-Air and Commercial Breaks and Content
  • Maintaining On-Air Logs
  • Recording multiple feeds from various sources
  • Monitoring transmitters
  • Complying with all FCC and EAS Regulations
  • Complete multiple tasks accurately and within established deadlines

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in television Master Control Operations a plus
  • References must be provided in writing
  • Knowledge of Video Operations
  • Proficient in computers and accurate data entry
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of video servers and automation systems within a Television environment
  • Ability to plan ahead, troubleshoot and adapt to change with ease
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work flexible shifts to cover vacation/sick time
  • Ability to work overtime if necessary
  • Excellent organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of broadcasting radio or TV experience preferred
