Job Title: Master Control Switcher - WPXI TV
Position Overview
WPXI TV Pittsburgh is looking for a Master Control Switcher to operate video / audio switchers, tape recorders, video servers, computer based automation, satellite equipment and other duties as assigned by management. Scope of the role includes adherence to FCC rules and regulations and complete compliance with station policies. This position will be required to work overnights, weekends and holidays as required.

Written and Oral Communications - Possess ability to accurately complete all reports. Must be able to present and share information with other station employees.
Interpersonal Skills - Required to be of high standards. Adhere to WPXI's Employee Code of Conduct.
Decision Making - Responsible for on air presentation of the station and decisions affecting the on air presentation.
Office Equipment/Machines - All general office machines. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and similar applications.
Other Comments - Attend scheduled staff meetings and maintain an awareness of station goals. Adhere to WPXI's Employee Code of Conduct.
Minimum Qualifications
Education - Associates degree in related field. Bachelor degree preferred or equal practical experience. FCC or SBE certification desired.
Other Formal Training - Switching, tape editing, advanced computer operations and basic maintenance skills are preferred.
Experience - One-year master control experience is preferred.
Specific Knowledge - Satellite transmission & reception. Operation of Harris Automation, FCC rules and regulations, over the air broadcasting.
Skills and Abilities - Ability to work with electronic equipment and present a smooth and complete on air look.
