Promotive is hiring an experienced A Level / Master Automotive Technician in Hatfield, PA. Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced automotive diagnostics and repairs on domestic, Asian, European, hybrid, and EV vehicles.
- Diagnose complex drivability concerns, electrical systems issues, CAN Bus communication faults, and engine performance problems.
- Utilize OBD-II diagnostic scanners, oscilloscopes, lab scopes, digital multimeters, and advanced diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
- Perform voltage drop testing, circuit analysis, ECU diagnostics, and automotive electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagram information, OEM service procedures, and technical repair documentation.
- Complete repairs involving braking systems, suspension systems, steering systems, engine systems, transmission systems, and drivetrain components.
- Perform Pennsylvania State Inspections and emissions testing or obtain certification shortly after hire.
- Conduct Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) and accurately document repair recommendations using shop management software.
- Collaborate with service advisors and fellow technicians to ensure efficient workflow, quality repairs, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate repair documentation while adhering to the highest standards of workmanship and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of professional automotive technician experience.
- A Level or Master Technician experience with advanced automotive diagnostics expertise.
- Strong experience using lab scopes, oscilloscopes, OBD-II diagnostic scanners, and advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Proven ability performing automotive electrical systems diagnostics, wiring harness repair, circuit analysis, and drivability troubleshooting.
- Experience diagnosing engine performance, electrical systems, CAN Bus communication, and network-related vehicle concerns.
- ASE Certifications strongly preferred, including ASE A6 Electrical/Electronic Systems Certification and ASE L1 Advanced Engine Performance Specialist Certification.
- Pennsylvania State Inspection License preferred or willingness to obtain promptly.
- Comfortable using Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) platforms and modern automotive technology.
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and team-oriented mindset.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
