Sign on Bonus: Up to $5,000.00 DOE
Shift: Third Shift (11:00pm - 7:00am, Monday - Friday)

Interstate Power Systems is seeking a Master Diesel Technician—a proven expert in diagnostics and engine repair—to join our Omaha, NE team. What You’ll Be Trusted With

  • Advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines and systems
  • High-level engine and powertrain work involving all makes of Diesel engines and Allison transmissions
  • Troubleshooting aftertreatment, electrical, fuel, cooling, and driveline systems
  • In-frame repairs, major component replacements, and root-cause failure analysis
  • Interpreting OEM diagnostics, schematics, wiring diagrams, and service literature
  • Serving as a technical resource for the shop when difficult issues arise
  • Delivering clean, accurate documentation and professional workmanship every time

What Sets You Apart

  • 5+ years of senior-level diesel technician experience (master-level strongly preferred)
  • Exceptional diagnostic ability with OEM software and tooling
  • Deep hands-on experience with multiple Diesel engines and Allison Transmission products
  • Ability to work independently and confidently on non-routine failures
  • Strong electrical and aftertreatment troubleshooting capability
  • High standards for quality, efficiency, and accountability

Preferred Credentials

  • OEM certifications (Detroit, Allison, Cummins, MTU, Volvo, etc.)
  • Formal diesel training or technical degree
  • CDL or willingness to obtain
