Description
Medders Construction is seeking an experienced Texas Licensed Master Electrician who also carries or qualifies our company to operate under a Texas HVAC Contractor License. This individual will oversee commercial electrical and HVAC operations while ensuring all work complies with applicable federal, state, and local codes.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial construction, including convenience stores, retail centers, restaurants, and tenant improvement projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Current Texas Master Electrician License (Required)
Must be able to qualify or carry a Texas HVAC Contractor License for the company (Required)
Minimum 10 years of commercial electrical experience
Commercial HVAC experience preferred
Valid Texas driver's license
Clean driving record
Clean criminal background
Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to supervise crews, subcontractors, and apprentices
Ability to read blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications
Responsibilities
Serve as the company's qualifying Master Electrician
Qualify or maintain the company's Texas HVAC Contractor License
Oversee commercial electrical and HVAC installations
Ensure all projects meet NEC, local building codes, and OSHA safety requirements
Perform job site inspections and quality control
Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, and customers
Troubleshoot complex electrical and HVAC systems
Assist with estimating and project planning when needed
Maintain licensing, permits, and compliance documentation
Long-term career growth with an established commercial general contractor
