CGL is a provider of justice facility planning, design, and program management and maintenance solutions to justice facilities and other public facilities throughout the U.S. and internationally. CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients.

A Brief Overview
CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. The Master Electrician (LICENSED) will perform tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. Duties can include installing electrical wiring in buildings and poles, troubleshooting malfunctions and blackouts and repairing appliances. This position will be responsible for working with inspectors to receive approval of work, applying for and or pulling permits, securing stock for some of the jobs, and other daily tasks.

What you will do

  • Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems.
  • Installs electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other electrical systems.
  • Installs safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.).
  • Connects wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
  • Prepares and assembles conduits and connect wiring through them.
  • Prevents breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
  • Performs effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
  • Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts.
  • Maintains emergency generators and high voltage switch gear.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes.
  • Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and according to the standards of CGL Facility Management, OSHA, and our clients.
  • Must maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • May oversee the work of other technicians
  • This position requires driving for the Company using either 1) a Company vehicle, at any frequency from Rarely to Constantly; or, 2) a Personal or Rental vehicle to conduct Company business more than 50% of the time to perform work duties.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 8 - 10 years commercial electrical experience Preferred
  • Ability to read and decipher blueprints and as built construction documents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to complete all documentation required in compliance with a computerized maintenance management system.
  • DL NUMBER - Driver's License, Valid and in State Required
  • State Licensed Electrician Required
