Role at a glance

We’re hiring a union, hourly Master Electrician for third shift to keep continuous manufacturing lines running at peak reliability. You are a Rhode Island–licensed Master Electrician with hands‑on industrial experience working on 3‑phase, 480V systems. You’ll assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical equipment on high‑throughput production assets using hand, power, and precision measuring tools. You’ll pinpoint faults with meters and scopes, then correct issues, including making safe terminations to circuit breakers, transformers, and related components—all while following safety procedures and wearing required PPE.

A day in the life

  • Begin shift with a safety check and review of overnight work orders and line status.
  • Walk the line: inspect, test, and service electrical equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems with ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other test gear; isolate root causes and implement fixes.
  • Program and fine‑tune VFDs; troubleshoot PLC‑controlled systems to stabilize operations.
  • Handle rigging tasks and safety‑critical activities as required for repairs and installations.
  • Connect conductors to breakers, transformers, and control components per code.
  • Operate a forklift and high‑lift safely to access work areas; work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs as needed.
  • Document work performed and partner with a team of skilled trades to complete installs and PMs.

What you’ll bring

  • Active Rhode Island Journeyman Electrician license (required).
  • Active Rhode Island Master Electrician license (required).
  • 2+ years of progressively responsible, journey‑level industrial electrical experience.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proficient, safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to maintain equipment to country, state, and federal electrical codes.
  • Proficiency in continuity and system testing; comfortable in hot, cold, dirty, and fast‑paced environments.
  • Self‑starter who takes direction well and thrives in a team of skilled trades.

Schedule & environment

  • Regular 8‑hour shift; overtime as needed, including weekends and to cover callouts.
  • Union, hourly position on third shift.
