blueFrog Plumbing + Drain of the Main Line is looking for an experienced Master Plumber / Field Operations Manager to help lead, support, and grow our residential plumbing service team.

This is a hybrid role for someone who is comfortable both in the field and in leadership. The right person will spend a meaningful portion of their time running service calls, completing work, training technicians, riding along, supporting jobs remotely, and helping ownership improve day-to-day operations.

We are looking for a licensed Master Plumber who understands residential service, knows how to lead technicians, and is comfortable being accountable for revenue, quality, customer experience, and profitability.

What You’ll Do

Field Leadership & Technical Support

  • Serve as the company’s Master Plumber license holder
  • Run service calls and complete jobs as needed
  • Spend 50–70% of time in the field running work, training, riding along, or overseeing job quality
  • Support technicians throughout the day by phone, text, or video
  • Help troubleshoot complex jobs and technical questions
  • Ensure work is performed safely, professionally, and to code

Team Leadership & Coaching

  • Coach technicians on service process, communication, technical standards, and customer experience
  • Help build consistency in how jobs are diagnosed, presented, sold, completed, and documented
  • Hold technicians accountable to company standards
  • Support onboarding and training of new field team members
  • Help create a strong, professional field culture

Sales, Service & Customer Experience

  • Use in-home sales experience to help technicians present options clearly and confidently
  • Improve close rate, average ticket, memberships, and customer satisfaction
  • Help resolve escalated customer issues
  • Model best practices for communication, professionalism, and service delivery

Operations & Performance

  • Help manage daily field performance
  • Review KPIs and technician results
  • Support revenue and profit goals
  • Identify operational issues and help create better processes
  • Work with ownership to improve pricing, workflows, truck inventory, and field efficiency

What We’re Looking For

  • Active Master Plumber license
  • Strong residential service plumbing background
  • Experience leading, coaching, or training technicians
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid field/leadership role
  • In-home sales experience
  • KPI-driven mindset
  • Ability to support technicians remotely throughout the day
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • ServiceTitan experience preferred
  • Nexstar, CertainPath, Service Nation, or other best-practices group experience preferred

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a strong service plumber who has grown into leadership, or is ready to. You may currently be a lead technician, field supervisor, service manager, plumbing manager, or licensed plumber who wants a bigger role in building a company.

You should be comfortable getting in the truck, helping a technician close a job, reviewing performance numbers, coaching through a tough call, and working with ownership on how to improve the business.

Why This Role Is Different

This is an opportunity to step into a growing company at an early stage and have real influence over how the plumbing department is built.  We have an excellent team of reliable, experienced, and eager young technicians that you will work with daily.

You will not just be handed a finished system. You will help create it.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to combine technical plumbing expertise with leadership, coaching, sales, and business performance.

Compensation

Competitive compensation based on experience, licensing, and leadership ability.

Compensation may include:

  • Base salary or hourly structure
  • Performance incentives
  • Revenue and profitability bonuses
  • Company vehicle
  • Technology and tools
  • PTO and benefits

Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
