About the Role

Rabe Plumbing and Heating is seeking a licensed Master Plumber to join our team. As our most senior technical plumber, you'll handle complex residential and commercial installations, service, and repairs, mentor junior plumbers and apprentices, and help uphold the standard of quality and reliability our customers count on. This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in doing the job right.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings, including water supply, drainage, gas, and heating-related plumbing
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications; ensure all work meets local, state, and national plumbing codes
• Pull permits and coordinate inspections as required
• Lead, train, and mentor apprentice and journeyman plumbers on the job
• Troubleshoot difficult service calls and provide solutions the crew can rely on
• Provide accurate estimates for time, materials, and cost
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and vehicle
• Deliver professional, courteous service and represent Rabe well in every customer interaction

On-Call Requirement

This position participates in a rotating on-call schedule to provide emergency plumbing service to our customers outside of normal business hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays. On-call rotation is shared fairly among qualified team members, and additional compensation is provided for on-call and emergency work.

Qualifications

• Valid Master Plumber license in good standing (required)
• Minimum 5+ years of plumbing experience, including time at the journeyman level
• Thorough knowledge of plumbing codes, systems, tools, and best practices
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in tight spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Experience with heating systems a plus
