Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Master Plumber to oversee plumbing permitting, code compliance, inspections, and administrative coordination while providing hands-on field support as needed.
This position is ideal for a licensed Master Plumber who enjoys using their technical knowledge in an administrative and supervisory capacity rather than spending the majority of their time performing installations. The role will coordinate permits and inspections, communicate with municipalities and inspectors, review plumbing work for code compliance, and support field teams with technical guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Permits & Administration
- Obtain and track plumbing permits and required inspections.
- Coordinate with municipalities, inspectors, and project teams.
- Maintain permit, license, and inspection records.
- Assist with resolving permitting and inspection issues.
Field Inspections & Technical Support
- Visit job sites to inspect plumbing work and make sure it meets code, plans, and company standards.
- Work with inspectors and help resolve inspection issues.
- Check work quality and identify items that need correction.
- Provide support and guidance to plumbers and project teams.
- Help troubleshoot plumbing and code-related issues.
- Assist with final inspections, punch lists, and project closeouts.
Licensing & Compliance
- Maintain the company's Master Plumber licensing requirements and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Track licensing, registrations, permits, and other regulatory requirements.
- Help ensure plumbing operations remain compliant with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships with municipalities, inspectors, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
- Current Master Plumber license in the state of Texas.
- Extensive plumbing industry experience with strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial plumbing systems.
- Thorough understanding of applicable plumbing codes and permitting requirements.
