Master Production Scheduler

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed production schedules while partnering with Program Management, Operations, Production, and Supply Chain teams to optimize manufacturing flow, mitigate scheduling risks, and drive on-time delivery. You'll play a key role in aligning production capacity with customer requirements and ensuring manufacturing operations remain efficient and responsive.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for active, planned, and forecasted manufacturing programs
• Balance production capacity, labor, materials, and equipment to support customer demand and operational objectives
• Partner with Program Management, Production, and Operations teams to prioritize work, resolve scheduling conflicts, and optimize resource utilization
• Monitor production performance, identify schedule risks, and implement recovery plans to maintain delivery commitments
• Track critical path activities, production milestones, and program interdependencies that impact manufacturing schedules
• Maintain accurate scheduling data within ERP systems and capacity planning tools
• Analyze production capacity and identify long-lead procurement requirements to support future manufacturing demand
• Review customer orders and determine achievable production and delivery schedules
• Lead weekly production scheduling meetings, document action items, and coordinate follow-up with cross-functional teams
• Support Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) activities by providing production planning insights and capacity forecasts
• Serve as the communication liaison between Program Management and Operations to ensure alignment between customer requirements and manufacturing execution

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or a related technical discipline
• 5+ years of production scheduling, master scheduling, or program scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience developing and maintaining detailed production schedules in a high-mix manufacturing environment
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems for production planning and scheduling
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Operations, Production, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries
• Knowledge of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes
• Experience performing capacity planning, resource leveling, and production forecasting
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as IFS or similar manufacturing planning platforms
• CAPM, PMI-SP, PMP, or other project scheduling certifications
