The Master Scheduler will work closely with Demand Planning, Order Admin, Supply Chain Planning and Production Planning to ensure Tesla's production plans are effectively setup to enable the factory to be successful. The Master Scheduler will be responsible for developing the production schedule, communicating it out to the organization and managing all plan changes. Develop Build Schedules: Create General Assembly line-specific schedules for 0-8 weeks, aligning with sales/demand planning, industrial engineers on shop constraints, and supply chain on capacity/logistics issues, using Theory of Constraints and optimization for efficient, low-cost plans achieving weekly build mix
Manage Changes and Issues: Lead cross-functional change processes for issues in the 0-48-hour frozen window, building models to analyze solutions minimizing costs and maximizing revenue amid sales changes, production breakdowns, or supply shortages
Introduce New Variants: Coordinate integration of new vehicle variants into production, attending launch meetings to assess impacts and ensure timing aligns with factory priorities
Oversee Option Codes: Represent operations in developing the option code framework, owning end-to-end flow from systems to manufacturing
Monitor Daily Operations: Participate in daily factory reviews to understand and maintain healthy material flow through the facility
Handle Reporting: Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly status/performance reports for management and stakeholders, pulling data from ERP, MOS, AMP, SCADA, and Andon systems, visualized via Tableau, and support executive S&OP meetings
Drive Software Development: Define business requirements, generate use cases, communicate and prioritize capabilities with factory software teams for sprints
Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business/Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or equivalent experience demonstrating exceptional ability
2+ years in Production Planning, Demand Planning, Materials Management, Logistics, Operations Planning, Business Planning, or related fields
Technical Skills: SQL proficiency required; Python or other programming experience preferred; mastery of Microsoft Excel essential
Analytical Abilities: Strong capabilities in data analysis to optimize plans considering constraints like equipment capacity, staffing, and material availability
Performance Under Pressure: Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing competing demands and tight deadlines
Communication and Organization: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail
Personal Attributes: Strong sense of ownership, positive attitude, and availability for off-shift hours in emergencies

$80,000 - $144,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
