Quanex is looking for a Master Scheduler to join our team located in Irving, Texas.
This position develops and implements production build and material forecasting strategies to support Manufacturing Operations and meet customer demand while optimizing inventories. As an output of the SIOP process, the Master Scheduler develops and loads a Master Production Schedule (MPS) and schedules high level Manufacturing Operations across multiple departments to meet business objectives. This position will lead monthly cross-functional meetings to collaborate, establish and measure production and inventory targets by month for a rolling 24-month period and is responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of the MPS and coordinating build plans and execution with Planning.

What Success Looks Like:
- Develops the rough‑cut capacity plan using MPS, identifying capacity gaps and excesses
- Maintains accurate planning parameters to ensure completeness and reliability of plans
- Monitors inventory at risk, highlighting decision impacts and driving continuous improvement
- Analyzes month‑to‑month changes, capturing key risks and planning assumptions
- Prepares and facilitates supply review materials, including inputs and outputs
- Ensures adherence to the monthly planning cycle and accountability for defined roles
- Establishes and enforces standard agendas, behaviors, and planning rigor
- Facilitates the Supply and Resource S&OP review process
- Owns supply KPIs, including projected on‑time delivery performance
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Demand, Supply, or Sales & Operations Planning.
- Experience coaching developing and mentoring Team members.
- Experience creating and presenting written and oral communications
- Strong collaboration skills and continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to hold team members and colleagues accountable to departmental commitments.
The salary range for this position is $72,000 to $97,000 with bonus potential.
