The Certified Medication Aide or CMA provides direct resident care and safely administering medication under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication, and a heart for working with the elderly population.
Physical Requirements:
This job requires excellent physical and mental health. The CMA must be able to be on their feet continuously during work hours. Must be able to lift and/or carry 50 - 75lbs.
Qualifications:
This job requires a current CMA certification with the State of Oklahoma. Must carry a valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) License with the State of Oklahoma. Must be trained and certified in CPR and First Aide. Must be able to accurately obtain and record all vital signs. Often requires experience in senior living with residents with dementia or Alzheimer's. Familiarity with basic computer skills for documentation may be needed.
