Job Responsibilities:

Specific Job Duties

  • Assist in the implementation, documentation and improvement activities of the company's ERP software.
  • Review administrative reports generated from the ERP software to monitor departmental performance as dictated by company objectives.
  • Monitor ERP software input and maintain database informaton accuracy.
  • Assist in the development and implemetation of ERP software classes for Norplas team member training.
  • Learn the major job duties and provide assistance to the departmental Scheduling and Materials Administrators during periods of high work load, training or vacation periods.
  • Establish and maintain EDI software interfaces with customers and suppliers. This will include the daily management of information flow from our customers to the Norplas demand schedule, as well as the suppliers' material schedules.
  • Provide backup to Sales Administrator for creation and maintanance of bills of material, routings and shop floor system activities.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of material control processes and procedures to improve production departmental performance and to meet QS-9000 and other company requirments.
  • Perform review of the supplier base and review competitive bidding and price review on a defined rotational schedule.
  • Provide purchasing support to program APQP launch teams. Assist in supplier qualification and approval process for the launch team.
  • Gather and maintain the supplier rating information, providing feedback to internal departments and suppliers.
  • Generate daily management reports for distribution as required to ensure all information pertinent to operations is communicated effectively.
  • Develop and participate in continuous improvement programs and QS-9000 activities to ensure departmental and company objectives are met.
  • Participate in developing computer system solutions to increase communication and decrease non-value added activities.
  • Participate in the development of supplier agreements and bid specification packages and selection of supplier to Norplas.
  • Monitor inventory turn and other defined criteria for material management performance within each department.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Educational Requirements

  • Associate's Degree required. Six years work related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Work experience combined with current schooling towards degree will be considered.

Required Work Experience

  • Minimum three years experience in a face paced work environment with scheduling and materials management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of MRP, production support systems, Windows NT.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to timely completion.

Physical Requirements

• This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while

standing or walking a minimum of eight (8) hours a day, the ability to lift up to 15 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis, and the ability to perform work that is below the knees and above the shoulders on an occasional basis. Must be capable of performing repetitive motion for four (4) to six (6) hours a day. Good vision as a close distance is required.
