Our Client, a Global Provider of Electronic Design and Test Solution company, is looking for a Material Buyer Procurement / Planning Coordinator for their Colorado Springs, CO location.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of purchase orders, from creation and delivery to invoicing and closure.
  • Keep internal partners informed on delivery status, pricing, and potential issues that might impact deliverables.
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers to maximize cost savings, minimize unnecessary expenditures, and ensure new product introductions are financially viable.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration and mutual success.
  • Execute Client global supply chain strategy while integrating unique insights to meet the specific needs of internal customers.
  • Translate assembly drawings, bills of materials, and build plans into actionable and executable purchase plans.
  • Review and negotiate Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) with suppliers as necessary.
 
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated proactive communication and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Proven experience in commodity management, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, optimize cost savings, and ensure the timely procurement of high-quality materials.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Oracle R12 Procurement / ERP Experience.
  • Experience writing and managing contracts.
  • Possess sufficient technical expertise to interpret and understand specifications on technical drawings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, finance, or technology a plus.
