Material Control Technician II
Location: Livonia MI 48150
Duration: 3+ months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Monday to Friday (6:00 am to 2:30 pm) (Saturday and overtime if needed)
Job Description: • Material Control Technician II will be responsible for picking automotive parts and getting them ready to move to the shop floor. • In addition to physically moving material, this position requires processing the material moves in an ERP system. The right candidate must be reliable, have attention to detail, and have a strong automotive and material control background including using a computer to process material in an ERP (inventory management) system. • This position also requires providing support to move freight in and out of trucks and around the warehouse.
Note: This position is not just a Hilo driver position.
Experience with driving a Hilo is a requirement but is only about 25% of the job duties. Picking, pulling and systematically processing materials accounts for the remainder.
Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum of 2 years of material control experience. • bility to drive a Hi-Lo and pass our internal training course. • Experience recording/tracking inventory in an ERP system. • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. • Excellent data entry and computer skills. • Good written and verbal skills. • ccurate cycle count/inventory experience. • Experience with receiving and distributing parts in a warehouse or production operation. • Must be detailed oriented with excellent organization skills. • bility to work independently in a fast-paced environment. • Must be able learn new processes and systems in a short time span. • bility to work overtime as needed. • Must have kitting experience.
Preferred Skills • PeopleSoft experience. • Experience with creating and processing PID's in PeopleSoft. • Experience recording/tracking inventory in PeopleSoft. • PLEX experience. • Experience with Receiving material in PLEX. • Experience with material transfers in PLEX. • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
