Move forward with VoltVolt is immediately hiring Material Coordinators in Pflugerville TX and Austin TX.

As a Material Coordinator you will:

  • Compute amount of material required to complete job orders.
  • Review production schedules and related information and confer with purchasing to determine adequacy of raw materials.
  • Utilize Clerical Skills: Accurate Typing, telephones, office software, and database systems such as Excel, MRP System, ORACLE, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation packages.
  • Requisition material and establish sequential delivery dates to departments according to production plan, job order priorities, and material availability, avoiding excess inventory positions.
  • Examine material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Arrange in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, moving or transporting materials from one department to another.
  • Compile and maintain both manual and computerized records such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials.
  • Create, update, execute, and analyze reports.
  • Gather data, track, post, and pitch for action plans and root analysis.
  • Prioritize data entry activities.
  • Monitor and control movement of material and parts for accurate inventory.
  • Write procedures and update them in document control.
  • Follow all distribution related ISO procedures and Material Handling Guidelines.
  • Conduct training sessions for departments on MRP procedures.
  • Administer the inventory cycle count program, reconcile discrepancies, resolve issues, and analyze inventory cycle count reports.
  • Identify parts and supplies that need to be ordered to maintain specified stocking levels.
  • Analyze stock usage and determine correct stocking levels.
  • Investigate unusual high usage of materials and parts and suggest methods of correcting problems found.
  • Stock and issue materials or merchandise.
  • Be responsible for adding new part numbers to current inventory based on input from manufacturing.
  • Verify the accuracy of the material kit vs. the pick list for correct parts by checking that all parts are packaged and contained in the kit.
  • Track defect levels on inspected kits, calculate quality performance charts/results, develop process improvements, and schedule work of others.

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work that requires repetitive motion. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, handle small items, and stoop and kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Job Details

  • Type: Full-time opportunity with OT opportunities.
  • Shift: 3rd Shift (11:00 pm - 7:00 am).
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday.
  • Pay Rate: $20.81 per hour.

Requirements The ideal candidate will have 1 Year or more of Clerical Material Coordinator experience (preferred).

  • Experience in Manufacturing is a plus.
  • Experience using a computer, Excel, MRP System, ORACLE.
  • Ability to read, write, speak English.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and reach to perform tasks.
  • Ability to see small letters and numbers, communicate, and listen clearly.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds to complete tasks.

Pay rate: $20.81 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidates education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
