Position Description

TheMaterial Coordinatorwill be part of adynamicteam at our Fort Bliss, Texas location. Serco supports the US Army as a primecontractorfor their Command Post Integrated Infrastructure (CPI2) contract which supports implementing capabilities that enable the service to employ Command Posts (CP) across the operational spectrum. Our team develops, integrates, andmaintainsmodern and mobile solutions for an integrated CP infrastructure.


You will be partof ateam that works closely with the customer and other Serco functional area teams to deliver quality systemsand associated supporting documentation. The team has been recognized by the Army Customer and the industry for theiroutstanding contributions to the contract and program.


In this role, you will:


+ Coordinate andexpediteflow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departmentsin accordance withproduction and shipping schedules or department supervisors` priorities


+ Review production schedules and confer with department supervisors todeterminematerialrequired


+ Requisition material andestablishdelivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities andanticipatedavailability of material


+ Arrange for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments


+ Examine material delivered to production departments to verify type specified


+ Compile report of quantity and type of material on hand


+ Move or transport material from one department to another, using hand or industrial truck


+ Compile perpetual production recordsin order tolocatematerial in process of production, using manual or computerized system, andmaintainemployee records


Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you musthave:


+ An active DoD Secret clearance.


+ A high schooldiplomaand2 years ofmaterial coordinatorexperience


+ Knowledge ofMSOfficecomputer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

+ Travel up to 25%


Additionaldesiredexperience and skills:


+ Knowledge ofCommercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and/or Governmentlogisticsand inventorydatabases.


+ Knowledge ofsupply andwarehouseoperations; preferably within Government or Military operations


+ Knowledge ofQuality Management Systems such as ISO 9001:2015


+ Forklift Experience is a plus
