Coordinates the flow of materials and the filling of Kanbans in a department of the factory, which may include shipping and receiving. Ensures that the production personnel have the parts they need in order to produce the desired product. Oversees and ensures that the inventory is correct and on time and identifies problems and makes suggestions involving production schedules. Ensures material logistics follow Deere Production Systems principles. Coordinates the activities for the tactical execution of a production plan within a smaller group of the factory. Typically an initial position in the organization. Duties: Coordinates department(s) schedule performance for procuring, expediting, the movement of rejected material to source. Recommends procedures for specific situations that will maintain inventory accuracy and management. Finds root cause of material shortages. May provide recommendations for solutions. Utilizes Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules. May include the processing of transactions for inbound/outbound materials. Audits material replenishment cycles and accuracy and may create material replenishment plans with assistance. Counts and resolves inventory errors and expedites parts to ensure uninterrupted production. Works critical shortage reports to ensure part availability.

Position Title: Nonconforming Materials Coordinator

Specific Position Requirements: Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position.

1st shift - Monday - Thursday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Fridays - 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM
OT hours will be requested by Deere if needed.
Metatarsal safety boots required on their first day - Deere will provide all other PPE

Familiarity with *** Thibodaux manufacturing processes; primaries, weld, paint, and assembly
Understanding of nonconforming material processes
Knowledge of basic analysis techniques such as percentages, pareto charts, control charts, etc.
Ability to drive fork truck and Gator/golf cart to move nonconforming material
Ability to lift 35 lbs.

Support factory manufacturing operations by segregating and facilitating the disposition of nonconforming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures. This role works closely with Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to resolve nonconformances efficiently and prevent recurrence

Ensure proper segregation, labeling, and containment of nonconforming products to prevent unintended use
Maintain control of the nonconforming material areas
Update and maintain records pertaining to nonconforming material and corrective action status
Review disposition input from others to ensure required data is present and complete
Perform necessary activities related to disposition of materials; rework, repair, scrap, return to vendor
Compile and distribute periodic reports of corrective action activity
Accomplish quality and organization mission by performing other duties as needed
