Material Coordinator, Lead (A/DACG)

The Material Coordinator (Lead) oversees all inbound and outbound air cargo operations within the Arrival/Departure Air Control Group. This role ensures efficient, safe, and compliant movement of personnel, equipment, and materials. The Lead serves as the primary point of coordination between airfield operations, transportation units, logistics teams, and supported organizations to maintain continuity of air mission support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise A/DACG personnel conducting receiving, staging, inspecting, and manifesting of cargo and passengers for air transport.

• Coordinate with airfield operations, loadmasters, aircrews, and logistics units to ensure accurate load planning and on-time aircraft departures and arrivals.

• Oversee documentation processes including cargo manifests, TCMD data, hazardous material certification, pallet build sheets, and load plans.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including DoD, FAA, IATA, and unit-specific air movement standards.

• Manage the staging area, ensuring accountability of cargo, proper configuration of pallets/nets, and safe material handling practices.

• Conduct training, coaching, and performance oversight for A/DACG team members.

• Communicate with supported units to schedule cargo pickup/drop-off, clarify movement requirements, and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate records, reports, dashboards, and activity logs for mission tracking and readiness reporting.

• Implement and enforce safety standards, equipment inspections, and hazard mitigation procedures.

• Serve as subject matter expert for air cargo movement, interoperability, and material handling equipment usage.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in logistics, material coordination, or air cargo operations.

• Proven experience in logistics, air cargo operations, transportation coordination, or supply chain functions.

• Strong knowledge of military or commercial air cargo procedures, load planning, and movement control requirements.

• Ability to supervise personnel, manage workflows, and coordinate across multiple agencies or units.

• Proficiency with logistic management systems, cargo documentation software, and standard office tools.

• Ability to lift and move materials, operate material handling equipment (MHE), and perform duties in an airfield environment.

• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.

• Ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation and obtain/maintain a CAC.

Desired Qualifications:

• 1-2 years in a lead, supervisory, or team coordination role preferred.

• Experience working in an operational airfield, deployment environment, or joint logistics setting is highly valuable.

• Familiarity with DoD air transport regulations and joint logistics doctrine.

• Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) certification or training.

• Experience in aircraft load planning or movement control operations.

• Formal training such as Air Load Planner Course, Unit Movement Officer Course, or equivalent.

• Valid Driver's License.

• High School Diploma / GED.

• Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement.

Pay & Benefits:

• Hourly Compensation: $22.42.

• Hourly Health &Welfare Fringe: $5.09.

• Differential pay for night shift work will range from $1 up to 10% of base hourly rate.
