Client in Piedmont, SC is in the market for a Material Coordinator
1st Shift Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm (Monday Friday); (hours could change)
Pay RATE: $19.00
Position Summary:
Coordinate the transfer of raw materials, parts and finished products between various production areas and
external warehouses. Ensure material inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct raw materials, components and finished goods to their assigned locations.
Ensure material movements are consistent with current procedures regarding proper identification and
suitability for storage and equipment.
Ensure all materials have proper and correct product locators.
Determine assigned location for all incoming and outgoing materials and finished product.
Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing materials.
Requisition material and establish sequential delivery dates to departments according to job order priorities
and material availability.
Examine material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to print.
Nest files for various production jobs according to the bill of material.
Complete inventory cycle counts frequently using SAP.
Create and maintain production ready packets according to production needs.
Confirm labor hours and materials used according to production ready packets.
Maintain and manage monthly production variances.
Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are
required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job,
proper training techniques must be followed).
Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Contribute to a team effort.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Certification - Level Desired:
High school diploma or equivalent
Forklift certification
Work Experience Required
1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or fabrication setting
1-3 years of computer experience; SAP and Microsoft Office
Suite Desired
1-3 years of relevant work experience
1-3 years of forklift experience
1-3 years of logistics experience
