Material Coordinator - Primoris Energy Services - Hubbard, TX

Job Overview:

Job Summary:

The Material Coordinator will be responsible for the efficient and accurate management of materials and equipment for Primoris Energy Services projects, ensuring timely availability and proper inventory control.

Job Responsibilities:

* Receive, inspect, store, and issue materials and equipment according to project specifications and company procedures.
* Maintain accurate inventory records through a computerized inventory management system, performing regular cycle counts and reconciliations.
* Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and vendors to ensure material delivery schedules are met and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
* Prepare and process necessary documentation for material requisitions, purchase orders, transfers, and returns.
* Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials, including hazardous materials, in compliance with safety regulations.
* Conduct regular audits of material stock to identify obsolete, damaged, or excess inventory and recommend disposition.
* Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
* Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and other vehicles.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the warehouse and storage areas.
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding material status and potential issues.

Job Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a related field preferred.
* 2+ years of experience in material coordination, warehousing, or logistics, preferably within the energy or construction industry.
* Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Valid driver's license; forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to material handling and storage.
