Description

Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional tasks such as part pick- up and delivery, assigning part storage locations, closing work orders, and pulling parts from inventory locations to fill job requirements. Pulling of tooling to support production orders released to the floor for assembly and detail parts. Personnel utilize equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers. Carousel or Vertical Storage Systems may be required systems for storage and retrieval of some parts.

Crestview Aerospace Overview

Crestview Aerospace is a manufacturing organization working closely with large aircraft and weapon systems OEMs, such as Boeing Defense, Bell, RTX/Collins Aerospace, Northrop Grumman, and several others to deliver complex design-to-build and build-to print assemblies. Crestview Aerospace provides these assemblies in support of in-service platforms, such as: H-47, V-22, F-35, F-15, F-16, F-18, KC-135, E-2, and weapon systems such as Harpoon and SLAM-ER. Crestview Aerospace is comprised of two (2) manufacturing sites, with operations in St. Louis, Missouri and Crestview, FL, and employs approximately 300 professionals.

Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Performs multiple tasks on an assigned team, project, or functional area. Tasks will typically be performed within full-scale production manufacturing operations. Must conduct physical inventories as well as restocking tooling for production availability. Must pass all job-specific or specialized certification programs required for core tasks or specialized assignments. May participate in programs or functional team projects developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Update inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Training will be provided for this position.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, Order Pickers, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure equipment remains in good working order.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally heavier items with assistance.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic math skills for inventory and order accuracy.

Professional Requirements, Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and flexible hours as required.
  • Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily works in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and production equipment.
  • Requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of materials.
  • May involve occasional travel to suppliers or other company locations.

Physical Requirements:

Primarily manufacturing/assembly environment. Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current. Must be able to bend and reach. Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines, and/or assembly or fabrication parts at close distance to the eyes. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to maneuver up to 20 pounds. Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
