    Job Description

    About the Opportunity:

    We are seeking a Material Expediter to support on-time delivery of materials and services for projects and O&M operations. This intermediate-level position will be responsible for supplier expediting, purchase order tracking, shipment coordination, delivery recovery, and materials status reporting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Expedite assigned supplier orders and obtain firm delivery dates and shipment plans.
    • Monitor purchase orders, material readiness, shipments, and delivery schedules; identify risks and past-due orders.
    • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, brokers, and warehouses on production, shipping, routing, documentation, and delivery appointments.
    • Drive recovery actions for delayed materials, including pull-ins, split shipments, alternate sources, and premium freight.
    • Resolve or escalate issues such as quality holds, partial shipments, and customs/documentation errors.
    • Coordinate material commitments with Buyers, Planners, Site Materials, and Project Managers.
    • Maintain accurate PO/material status in ERP/MRP systems and support outage/turnaround hot lists.
    • Prepare supplier OTD and past-due reports and support process improvements for lead times and supplier performance.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field, OR
    • Associate's degree with 3 years of relevant experience, OR
    • 4 years of experience in expediting, materials, or logistics.
    • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
    • Experience with shipping documentation, including Bill of Lading (BOL) and Advance Ship Notice (ASN).
    • Working knowledge of standard shipping terms, including INCOTERMS.
    • Strong follow-through and ability to manage multiple material and supplier commitments.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
    • Basic data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel or Business Intelligence (BI) tools.

    NOTE: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents (Green Card holders) to be considered for this position.

    Job Type: 1-year contract

    Work Set Up/Schedule: Onsite at Columbus OH 43215 (Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM)
