How you''ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
A Material Expeditor in Service Recovery is responsible for ordering & procuring parts for Hangar Mtc for all AMB / MMB worked aircraft. This also includes creating Material Shortage Notifications when required inventory is unavailable within the Delta system. The Material Expeditor is responsible for keeping Empower & SAP updated with all procurement information pertaining to inventory requirements for aircraft being worked by maintenance.
In addition to ordering inventory from our distribution warehouses, processing Removal / Installs on Asset Inventory, returning unused inventory / "06 Material", oversight & research of In Transit / Stationary tracking reports; the Material Expeditor position orders required inventory from Line stations throughout the Delta system and from external suppliers as outlined in Service Recovery SOPs to solve for material shortages.
The Material Expeditor role includes utilization of all available aircraft / fleet manuals, IPC, CMN, ER/A, Delta Drawings, Supplier Drawings, and Service Bulletins to determine alternate means of providing required inventory to solve material shortages. This includes identifying alternate MPNs, piece parts & NHA options, aircraft effectivity, etc. validation before shortage submission including Customer Parts & Material Portals.
Additional job duties include reviewing 8130 tags for accuracy, receiving AA kits, Prepull / FK1, Nonroutine / FK2 inventory in for staging & locating in designated hangar locations. Assistance with creation of Departmental SOP's, training documents, supports continuous improvement incentives, conducts / carries out quality audits and manages completions of daily, weekly, monthly & annual FWP checks.
Possess the ability to meet deadlines with high productivity and accuracy. Desired experience in warehousing and parts distribution. The Material Expeditor must be a team player with focus on customer service and operational awareness. Requires strong computer skills and comfort with navigating multiple software applications such as Microsoft Office, SAP, Empower, Supplier Portals, and other airline specific programs, as well as technology platforms. Additionally, candidate must be able to read and write English and comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals. Candidate must also be able to work and operate in a safe and compliant manner. Must be able to work without close supervision. Candidate should have strong organizational skills and be able to respond to changing or multiple work demands. Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Computer skills, strong computer skills and comfort navigating multiple software applications such as Microsoft Office, SAP, web-based portals, etc.
Candidate should possess flexibility to work with customers, suppliers, & internal support teams
Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Be able to pass an extensive background check and drug test.
Have a valid driver''s license.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
