Material Handler (1st Shift)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team in Highlands, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products within the warehouse or production area. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying accuracy and inspecting for damage.
• Store materials in designated locations and maintain an organized warehouse.
• Pick and prepare materials for production or shipment according to work orders.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting.

Work Environment

This position involves working in a warehouse or production setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels. Proper safety gear and adherence to safety protocols are required.
