The Material Handling Operator 2 unloads, logs, and sorts daily shipments from all carriers to their designated departments ensuring inventory accuracy, production needs are met and performing duties in a safe manner. Operate independently with minimal direction and have basic digital literacy, and communication.

SHIFT: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday

What you will be doing?

  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting programs and SAP verification, work closely with inventory analysts to resolve inventory discrepancies.

  • Receive, verify, and assign materials based on the instructions established in the procedures.

  • Safeguard and ensure the integrity of the components located in the different storage areas of the plant.

  • Prepare and deliver components in the quantities and conditions required for distribution to production or other requesting departments.

  • Coordinate, implement, and ensure the supply of inputs to the production lines.

  • Ensure the accurate identification, quantity, organization, and order of the materials assigned under their responsibility.

  • Responsibly control inputs in accordance with company regulations.

  • Ensure that the traceability of materials is maintained throughout the different processes.

  • Align with the company's occupational health and safety program.

  • Collaborate in audits, counting, organization, report generation, and any other activity related to the proper functioning of materials handling.

  • Process information in documents and in a system that ensures the accurate functioning of inventory management.

  • Align with the implementation of Occupational Health standards and programs established by the company, by following recommendations for performing work safely, using personal protective equipment, and advising the company of improvements to prevent incidents or occupational illnesses that could harm the safety of workers and/or the company's facilities and assets

  • Responsible for safeguarding all documents, confidential information, equipment, tools, raw materials, products, or other assets directly related to their work area.

  • Work on continuous improvement that involves ideas such as the 5S.

  • Involvement in OPEX Programs.

  • Positively contribute to maintaining a good work environment.

  • Promote teamwork.

What you need to be successful?

  • High School education or equivalent required.

  • One to two (1-2) years' experience in a warehouse

  • SAP knowledge.

  • Knowledge of MS Excel.

  • Ability to read small print at different levels of lighting.

  • Capable of working independently and in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and time management skills.

  • Able to work well with other team members.

  • Ability to learn new techniques quickly, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records and align with company policies.

  • Read/write in English.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
