Job Summary
This position is responsible for various administrative and physical tasks related to storing, counting, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. The role involves compiling and maintaining records of the quantity and type of material stocked and issued, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording inventory location in Oracle.
- Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying items listed on move orders and pick slips, delivering them, and completing transactions in Oracle.
- Receive returned materials and supplies from production, verify item number, lot number, and quantity, place materials in stock, and complete Oracle transactions.
- Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, picking, packing, crating, loading, and securing products following operating procedures and work instructions.
- Maintain material-handling equipment, such as scales, by completing pre-use inspections.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently, seeking advice when necessary.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean workplace, including all plant areas, workstations, equipment, walkways, and break rooms, using 5S procedures.
- Participate in and implement continuous improvement projects.
- Safely and efficiently meet all requirements by following operating procedures and work instructions, in accordance with the company’s ISO 9001:2015 procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well as a team.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, comprehend verbal instructions, and effectively communicate verbally.
- Computer familiarity and data entry skills.
- Ability to self-start and take orders as directed.
- Consistent and punctual attendance required. Must be available to work assigned shifts and required overtime.
