Job Summary:
The Material Handler I is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the materials yard, including loading, unloading, and organizing building materials. This is an entry-level position requiring minimal experience, with opportunities for training and advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials from trucks and customer vehicles.
- Organize and stock materials in designated yard locations.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the yard by removing debris and ensuring clear walkways.
- Use basic hand tools and equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Assist customers with locating materials and handling general inquiries.
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
Requirements:
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
