Job Title: Material Handler 1st Shift
Location: , Archdale, NC 27263
Pay rate: $16.00 - $17.00/hr
Work schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday.

Overview

The Material Handler (Warehouse Clerk) performs a variety of structured duties involving the handling, storing, picking, and staging of warehouse materials to support active production areas, shipping, and receiving. This position utilizes forklifts, pallet jacks, and other industrial material-handling equipment to transport components safely throughout the facility. Additionally, the role relies on computer skills to execute inventory transactions within SAP and manage email-driven material requests.

Job Specifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Material Picking & Stocking: Pull, stock, and allocate various manufacturing materials. Pre-stage and pull specific jobs in advance to ensure materials are fully ready for the assembly teams.

  • Inventory & Record Keeping: Maintain precise records, accurate part counts, and defined physical storage locations of inventory parts. Perform basic material inspections as needed.

  • Systems & Data Entry: Utilize a laptop to execute standard material transactions within SAP and respond professionally to internal email requests.

  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate material-handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and industrial scales. Obtain an internal certification to drive forklifts to transport and store materials as required.

  • Facility Maintenance & Organization: Keep designated warehouse zones clean, organized, and free of hazards. Collect and move trash, recycling, and corrugated cardboard materials to supporting disposal areas.

Must Have Skills / Requirements

  • Technical & Computer Literacy: Basic computer navigation skills with an aptitude for learning software systems.

  • Mathematical & Communication Skills: Solid mathematics comprehension and the ability to read, understand, and interpret basic localized drawings written in English.

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to maintain precise inventory tracking and part counts.

  • Physical Capabilities:

    • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time throughout the shift.

    • Physical capability to climb a roll-around warehouse safety ladder safely.

    • Ability to execute occasional lifting of materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Direct hands-on experience utilizing SAP inventory management software.

  • Foundational proficiency with core computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Previous familiarity with standard measuring instruments, industrial scales, or warehouse machinery.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification is preferred.
