Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Material Handler to support a precision aerospace and industrial manufacturing operation in Claremore. This position is responsible for staging, moving, tracking, and organizing raw materials, tooling, and finished components to keep production running efficiently.
The ideal candidate has previous material-handling or warehouse experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment and is comfortable operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes. This role also requires basic computer and ERP skills for tracking inventory, material locations, and production movement.
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 1 year of material-handling, warehouse, or production staging experience
Industrial manufacturing or machine shop experience preferred
Forklift operating experience or ability to obtain certification
Experience operating pallet jacks and overhead hoists or cranes
Ability to read work orders and pick lists accurately
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
Basic computer and ERP system skills
Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
Ability to maintain organized material and staging locations
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
High school diploma or GED required
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Pull and stage raw materials for scheduled production jobs
Deliver materials, tooling, and components to CNC machining and fabrication areas
Ensure machine cells receive required materials before production begins
Move raw aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and other materials throughout the facility
Stage parts for CNC Machinists, Press Brake Operators, and other production personnel
Transport finished components to appropriate inspection, storage, or shipping areas
Maintain organized material and tooling locations
Follow work orders, pick lists, and job travelers
Help prevent production downtime by maintaining accurate and timely material flow
Assist with inventory counts and material tracking
Maintain clean and organized staging and warehouse areas
Perform additional material-handling and production-support duties as assigned
Material Handling Equipment
Candidates may regularly operate:
Sit-down forklifts
Electric pallet jacks
Hand trucks
Overhead cranes and hoists
Other industrial material-handling equipment
Candidates must either be forklift certified or capable of successfully completing required certification.
Production Staging Responsibilities
Pull raw stock according to production requirements
Stage aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and other materials
Gather applicable job travelers and documentation
Stage tooling and required components for machine cells
Deliver materials to CNC Machinists and Press Brake Operators
Monitor staging areas and identify missing materials
Coordinate material movement to reduce unnecessary production delays
Inventory & ERP Responsibilities
Perform basic inventory transactions within company ERP systems
Record material issuance and movement
Maintain accurate bay and storage locations
Update inventory information as materials move throughout the facility
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities
Identify and report inventory discrepancies
Help maintain accurate stock quantities and locations
Experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems is preferred.
Shipping & Receiving Responsibilities
Receive incoming raw materials and supplies
Compare incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips
Inspect shipments for obvious damage or discrepancies
Record and maintain applicable heat-number information
Move received materials to appropriate storage or staging locations
Assist with packaging finished components for shipment
Support shipping and receiving operations as required
Materials Handled
This position may involve handling precision manufacturing materials including:
Aluminum
Titanium
Stainless steel
Raw bar and sheet stock
Aerospace components
Tooling and fixtures
Finished machined and formed components
Proper material handling is critical to preventing damage and maintaining product traceability.
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
Machine shop material-handling experience
Forklift certification
Overhead crane or hoist experience
Production staging experience
Inventory control experience
Epicor or similar ERP experience
Shipping and receiving experience
Material traceability or heat-number experience
Experience supporting CNC machining or sheet metal operations
Shop Organization & Safety
Maintain clean and unobstructed aisles
Keep staging and material-storage areas organized
Sort metal scrap and machining chips appropriately
Follow established 5S principles
Maintain awareness around operating CNC machines and production equipment
Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
Report material, equipment, or workplace safety concerns promptly
Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand and walk for 810+ hours per day
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Ability to safely handle raw materials and precision components
Ability to safely enter and exit forklifts throughout the shift
Comfortable working around operating CNC machinery and industrial equipment
Ability to safely perform assigned duties while wearing required PPE
Work Environment

Regular work around CNC machines, press brakes, forklifts, cranes, tooling, and raw materials
Hands-on position supporting production, inventory, shipping, and receiving operations
