Role Overview: Hera Technologies is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support manufacturing and production operations. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, transporting, and maintaining inventory accuracy for raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished aerospace products. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, understands inventory control processes, and is committed to maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
  • Accurately identify, label, and store materials in designated inventory locations.
  • Issue materials to production areas based on work orders and manufacturing schedules.
  • Perform material movements between departments while maintaining traceability and inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct cycle counts and assists with physical inventory audits.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to transact inventory receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
  • Package, stage, and prepare outbound shipments in accordance with customer and quality requirements.
  • Maintain FIFO inventory practices and ensure proper handling of aerospace materials.
  • Support inventory investigations and reconciliation efforts.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant warehouse environment.
  • Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Planning, and Quality teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in material handling, warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or aerospace environment preferred.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control and material traceability.
  • Ability to use computers and inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and work orders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace, defense, or AS9100 manufacturing experience.
  • Forklift certification or prior forklift operating experience.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as Epicor, JobBOSS, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with cycle counting and inventory auditing processes.
  • Knowledge of ITAR-controlled environments and material traceability requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying materials.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
  • Use of required PPE in manufacturing and warehouse environments.

Job Details

Type: Full Time, Hourly Non-Exempt
Base Hourly Range: $18 to $22 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: 1st Shift, 6:00 to 2:30 pm Monday to Friday with OT and weekends as needed
Base Location: Ontario, CA
Travel: None 
$18 - $22 an hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
