Job Title: Material Handler – 1st Shift

About the Opportunity
Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Material Handlers for an established heating and cooling company in Sauk Rapids, MN. In this role, you’ll move, store, and organize materials to support production in a clean, efficient warehouse environment. If you enjoy hands-on work and want reliable hours with weekly pay, this job could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do as a Material Handler:- Monitor planned received goods to determine storage needs
- Operate stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
- Move materials and supplies from receiving to warehouse
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed
- Assist with banding, shrink wrapping, and order fulfillment
- Ensure products put away are correct in quantity and quality
- Check incoming materials to verify they meet code requirements
- Maintain proper organization of materials and supplies in the warehouse
- Keep work areas clean and orderly
- Unload and stack material using lifting devices
- Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices
- Report mechanical or electrical problems to the appropriate person
What You Need to Bring to the Material Handler Role:- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving work direction
- Experience operating stand-up reach forklifts, sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to successfully complete on-site forklift training
- Customer-oriented and team player
