Exciting Opportunity for a Material Handler — Urgently hiring in Valley City!

Job Title: Material Handler
Pay: $21 - $22 per hour
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours/week
Start Date: ASAP

As a Material Handler, you’ll play a key role in managing materials, supporting production, and ensuring safety and efficiency on the shop floor. You’ll work closely with supervisors and team members to deliver results that keep operations moving seamlessly.

What You’ll Do
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for:

• Locating the correct bundles of bars for each work order
• Transporting bars to designated locations and machines for processing
• Assisting in various shipping preparations
• Loading and unloading bars from trucks
• Loading bars into cardboard tubes, banding, and boxing bars for shipment
• Oiling bars to prevent rust
• Following all detailed instructions on work orders, filling out time tickets and documentation accurately
• Keeping your work area clean and free of safety hazards
• Operating tools such as side loaders, overhead cranes, pneumatic banding guns, and step ladders to facilitate material movement
• Performing other duties as assigned by your supervisor

What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Experience or familiarity with material handling and industrial equipment, especially overhead cranes and loaders
• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to follow detailed work instructions
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to safety protocols and teamwork
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
• Certifications or licenses related to crane operation (preferred but not required)
