POSITION SUMMARY

Amerhart is currently hiring for 2nd Shift Material Handlers in our Green Bay - Amerhart facility. The primary responsibility of this position is to perform all duties associated with shipping, receiving, and stocking warehouse material. As a member of theOperations team, offering to help others when the workload demands, treating teammates with respect and care and performing work in a safe manner according to safety policies and procedures is critical.

  • Pay Rate of $21.25/hour + $1.50/hour (Shift differential pay) = $22.75/hour
  • 2nd Shift training schedule is as follows:
    1st 2 months of training: 7:30am CST - Finished
    Months 2-3 of training: Noon - 8pm CST
    Fully Trained (After 3 months): 4pm - Midnight CST (last truck loaded)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Load outgoing trucks for the following day in an efficient manner.

Focus on safety while ensuring the customer receives correct material in quality condition.

Pick orders using a forklift until the order is completely filled.

Unload common carrier trucks and railroad cars and replenish product in the designated location in the warehouse.

Report any problems such as shortages or damaged material, etc.

Inquire with sales team member when orders cannot be shipped as ordered and make changes as directed by sales.
Use handheld scanner when receiving product, picking orders, loading trucks and cycle counting in accordance with Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes.
Collaborate with Warehouse Management System (WMS) Coordinator on questions and updates.
Band, wrap and prepare material for safe shipping.
Arrange orders on trucks according to safe weight distribution practices.
Follow safety procedures and policies when performing warehouse duties.

Performance of Miscellaneous Functions

• Fill orders for incoming customers.
• Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning warehouses/yard.
• Inspect the forklift prior to daily operation to avoid equipment problems and malfunctions in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Cross train and back-up others in warehouse.
Personal Attributes and Skills
• Strong initiative, self-starter with a continuous-improvement mindset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a cross-functional team environment.
• Working knowledge and techniques associated with organizing and setting priorities.

Qualifications
• High School Diploma
• 1-2 years of forklift driving experience required with some experience in a distributorship preferred.
• Neat and clean appearance.
• Proven ability to work as a member of a team.
